History

The Campo de Golf Almerimar has established itself as one of the most popular on the Almería Coast, Opened in 1976 was designed by Gary Player and Rob Kirby. The Golf Course combines water hazards and palm trees with wide fairways and lush vegetation; they create spots of singular beauty.

In the beginning the Golf Course had 18-holes with Par 72. In the year 2005 the Golf Course was extended with another 9-holes to a generous golf course with 27-holes. In 2006 and 2007 the original 18-holes were improved in order to adapt the golf course to the nowadays exigencies. Greens and bunkers have been increased in size, the distance between the tee and the hole has also been increased, more water obstacles, a new and modern irrigation system has been installed, etc.
